Horse Simulator

Our latest addition is from the worlds leading designer and manufacturer of equestrian simulators Racewood Limited.

The eventing simulator is the ultimate in latest technology, true-to-life Grand Prix dressage movements, such as Piaffe and Passage, to jumping grid work or negotiating technical combinations on the cross country course. Thanks to its state-of-the-art, motion control technology it can replicate jumps of up to 1.20m high, and moves in a way no other simulator can.

Why a horse simulator could transform your riding: The simulator can be used as a training aid to either perfecting technique and help with faults or asymmetry or to teach the basics of riding before getting on an actual horse. Great for building confidence 100% bomb proof so perfect for returning to riding after an injury or long break. From complete beginners to advanced dressage riders wanting to identify and correct biomechanical issues. Get ridden corrections more quickly after a session on the mechanical horse first.

The rider can be analysed without worrying about the horse spooking, and you don’t have the problem of a horse’s unevenness to worry about when identifying that issue in a rider. For example, if a rider is tight in one hip, the opposite shoulder will often be thrown across but on a horse they can still appear to be symmetrical when the horse compensates for this. On a mechanical horse, that can’t happen.

Improves riding fitness and boosts riding performance in the saddle. There is a large interactive screen in front and it generates computerised feedback and produces a printout of rider performance which can be compared as time goes on. Mirrors either side for visual feedback and video/ phone stand is available should you wish to record your session

Rider balance, bit contact and leg pressure though the gaits. It is excellent for assessing what a rider does in the saddle whilst moving completely automatically though walk, trot and canter. All sensors activity is recorded for 1 or 2 minutes and results can be printed off afterwards.

Most importantly from a welfare point of view A horse isn’t expected to go round and round an arena while we work on an issue, or jump a series of fences over and over while working on the rider position. If you would like to combine lessons on our ‘real’ horses please contact us for further information.
