Hurstwood Farm is a picturesque property situated amidst the breathtaking Sussex countryside, encompassing approximately 80 acres of stunning natural beauty. At its heart stands an enchanting old farmhouse, exuding charm and character.
The expansive land of Hurstwood Farm is thoughtfully organized into a series of meticulously maintained paddocks, each enclosed by sturdy post and rail fencing. Additionally, the property boasts a world-class cross-country course, offering equestrian enthusiasts an unparalleled riding experience.
Spanning over 80 acres of gently rolling fields and serene woodlands, the exceptional cross-country course at Hurstwood Farm showcases a diverse array of fences. Ranging in height from 1’6″ to 3’3″, these well-designed obstacles present an exciting challenge for riders of varying skill levels.
For those new to the sport or seeking to refine their skills, Hurstwood Farm provides a dedicated practice field. This welcoming space is particularly well-suited for novice riders and horses, allowing them to build confidence and improve their abilities in a supportive environment.

The cross country course is well cared for with good take-off and landing of sand and wood chippings. Hire and Facilities There are superb equestrian facilities including a purpose-built stable yard for 16 horses, an outdoor arena (60×20) and an indoor school (30×16) Both of which have big mirrors at one end and a good surface so all the horses can work to a high standard. One of the old barns has been converted into 3 very comfortable self-contained 4* accredited cottages. There is also a Bronze Accommodation Holiday Barn and Studio for when clubs or large groups of people want to come and stay with their horses. The farm is situated on the edge of High Hurstwood village and is very quiet with no nearby roads or railways. There is little or no overhead flight traffic, just rolling countryside and an undisturbed scenic view. All of Hurstwood’s staff are experienced with horses and enjoy making our guests feel welcome.
