Tweseldown May 2015
After an absolute nightmare journey, getting stuck in 3 seperate traffic jams, we arrived at Tweseldown with only minutes to spare before Milly’s dressage time. After tacking her up, studding up and getting changed and onboar, with Chloes help, I had 5 minutes to go. A very speedy walk, trot and canter and then we were called to go over to the arena. Despite this Milly was a pleasure to ride through the test and was remarkably chilled out. We later found out that she was awarded a good score of 31.5, which was brilliant considering the lack of warm up and with it being a BE novice test.
The showjumping went well apart from one of the related distances where we jumped the first element too big and then covered the distance too easily. This caused Milly to get too close to the related oxer and despite trying her best, she knocked the front rail.
Milly found the cross country easy, having gone well around the Novice at Brightling last week, the 100 course was very straight forward in comparison. She gave me a lovely ride and got round well within the optimum time.
Milly finished 7th in a very hotly contested section, she was only 1.5 marks off 2nd!
