After getting caught in M25 traffic on the way to Tweseldown, we arrived much later than planned, resulting in only having a 5 minute warm up before going into the dressage test. However William went very well considering, and performed a nice test.
The Show Jumping was in a nice big grass arena which, tends to suit William who is sometimes hard to get going when there is less room between fenced. He jumped around nicely and didn’t touch anything.
The Cross Country was on very sandy ground, slightly deep in places but a nice solid course. William showed he has recently grown in confidence and jumped super without an hesitations. Unfortunately we incurred some time faults, which seemed surprising to the point that I queried the judges but their decision stood and it should take nothing away from what felt a lovely ride.
Overall a pleasing day with a double clear and lots to look forward to this season with him.
