William is a homebred 16.1hh ex eventer, 10 years old, suitable for hacking and flatwork and would love to go to some dressage or showing shows but unfortunately no jumping. Has a cheeky character so needs to be handled confidently when on the ground, not suitable for a novice but good to hack and school. Multiple wins at dressage. How a Hurstwood Farm horse loan works.
Borrowers pay £15 per day for a 3 to 4 day loan and must commit to a minimum of 2 months with a month notice to terminate the agreement. Therefore a monthly cost will work out at about £180 to £240 per month. The horse must continue to be stabled and kept at Hurstwood Farm. Hurstwood Farm pay for all the upkeep and farrier costs of the horse. Tack and rugs etc are supplied by Hurstwood Farm. Hurstwood Farm also reserve the right to use the horse to give lessons to Hurstwood clients on.
Free use of the Hurstwood facilities including, arena, indoor school and cross country course (subject to weather and availability). Unaccompanied riding on the loan days. Hacking over Hurstwood Farm and local bridleways. Borrowers are encouraged to participate in caring for their horse, mucking out, feeding, grooming and tack cleaning although there is no formal obligation. Borrowers are responsible for catching, grooming and tacking up their loan horse when they want to ride.
Horse transport may be hired for travel to shows etc.
