Boorman Tom Thumb

13hh Bay Gelding 6 yrs

by RIHS Sup Champion Whinfell Tom Kitten

This is a super part bred Welsh Section B pony that will suit a competent youngster. Three active correct paces. Working well on the flat and over poles. Very bold and forward going. Jumps well, including ditches and water. Hack out alone or in company. Good to shoe, box, clip and catch. Lively temperment and not a novice ride. Is proving to be a great show pony or pony club pony. He was recently entered for dressage tests at Plumpton and the results can be viewed here and here . The results give a good indication of his potential. Jessica McCann has been working with Tom for the last few months and he is now developing into an excellent show pony. In August he achieved a 1st in the Riding Pony class and a 2nd in the In Hand class at the Beechenwood Farm Show. He was also nominated as Reserve Champion for the ring. The Judge's comments were that he was a lovely pony with lovely paces and will do well as a show pony. As well as developing his paces Jessica has done a superb job in making him easy and reliable to handle. Beechenwood Farm Show was his first time out on his own. He boxed easily, behaved impeccably all day and is a credit to her training.
