Information for Walkers Hurstwood farm is very peacefully situated in unspoilt Sussex countryside far from any main roads. There are an abundance of public footpaths and walkers can set off from the farm and enjoy walking for miles without hardly encountering any road work. There are also several very nice country pubs on some of the routes to provide refreshment. For example our local pub The Hurstwood. The Vanguard Way passes the entrance to the farm and offers a 66 mile route from Newhaven through to Croydon for walkers. Hurstwood Farm is situated roughly halfway along the route. If you come to stay at Hurstwood make sure you bring a copy of the Ordnance Survey Explorer Map No. 135 which contains excellent detail of all the footpaths in the area. |
