August 2010
Ouse Valley Riding Club – visit August 2010
This is what the Chair of Ouse Valley Riding Club had to say about their 3 day stay at Hurstwood Farm.
'We had such an amazing time, we honestly couldn't have been happier! Please thank all of the staff for making us so welcome, we have all raved to all and sundry about the place. We would like to come for day trips every six weeks or so for group lessons, and try and do a winter 3 dayer too.
We couldn't recommend the place any more highly! Facilities are amazing, quality of tuition was extremely high, and the hospitable atmosphere left us absolutely not wanting to go home'

Here some of the group enjoy a cup of tea (I think it's tea -
although some are drinking it out of a glass!) whilst watching others enjoy a lesson

8 year old Lauren enjoyed a private lesson each day
September up-date!
We've just had an Email from Kelly-ann who had this to say;
Hello; I'd just like to say thank you for the weekend I spent at Hurstwood for camp -
It helped my riding so much!! Coming away from it I felt as if I really had something to work on and most importantly I knew how to work on it. We jumped clear at Ferring last Monday in the 3ft Open coming 3rd overall; it was such a nice round that I could feel everything I'd learnt at camp falling into place.
I hope you like the photo
Thank you
Kelly-ann

We loved the photo - Congratulations Kelly-ann!
Alice Warren – visit August 2010
Young Alice struck up a real bond with our pony Barney. Here they are with Rachael Smith, our in house instructor.

By the end of her holiday Alice had made real progress and was happily 'popping' a few jumps too!

Anna Norris – visit September 2010
Anna enjoyed a sunny week of intensive training with her stunning horse, Toronto
(Ed's note - I was going to edit this photo but the arena looked so good I couldn't bring myself to do so!)
Anna says;
"The facilities we enjoyed at Hurstwood Farm were outstanding and the level of care my horse enjoyed whilst there was exceptional, with staff going the extra mile to ensure we had the best possible stay. The riding package was specifically geared to our needs, allowing us to focus on specific areas so there was a very marked improvement by the end of our stay. There were so many considerate little 'extra touches' guaranteed to make our stay even more memorable, such as sending a tour guide with us on the Ashdown Forest for the benefit of the geographically inept (Thanks Mel!) and organising and co-ordinating a mini ODE for our last day (Thanks, Rachael) that I cannot recommend the place highly enough and we are looking forward to returning next year. "

(Ed's note - Anna won the ODE!)
