2014 Season Overview
Overall, Milly has had a pleasing season during 2014. She started a little later than originally planned due to some skin problems and went out at BE90 level for her first 2 events before moving up to BE100.
At her first few attempts at BE100 she struggled with the showjumping phase and wasn’t as consistent in the dressage. With lots of hard work and jumping practice at home and some showjumping competitions her jumping has improved massively and she has jumped clear in 4 out of her last 6 events. Millie has become more and more confident going cross country and has only had one small mistake all year. This is really pleasing as is her ability to get round inside the time without and huge effort.
Millie is now almost ready to move up to Novice and this is our aim for next year. She is now having a few months off work for a holiday and will be brought back into work after Christmas. The rest of the winter will be spent building her fitness and concentration on her showjumping.
We aim to have her jumping round 1.05m BSJA classes and possibly some newcomers before she steps up to Novice eventing.
